Haize bags that cannot be repaired and have lost their functionality are upcycled by Carbone 14 to give them a second life.
Three handbags are created from one backpack.

Nº1 The Double side pocket

The coated fabric, the two front side pockets, and the double Fidlock buckles complete the look.

Nº2 The Neoprene
Reusing the neoprene back protector for a computer – a dense and soft material.

Nº3 The Reversed RPET
The main fabric of the bag, reversed to reveal its interior texture, while retaining its properties.

Why and How?

At Haize, extending the life of objects is a commitment.
They repair, resew, and
reattach—actions that make them last.

But sometimes, even Haize bags end up losing their functionality. That's why we've developed an upcycled range. Haize supplies worn backpacks to Carbone 14, which transforms them into new accessories.

To upcycle the Haize backpack, you need to unstitch all the parts, which takes about two hours of work, and wash the intact parts before cutting the recovered fabric.

These two steps are in addition to the usual manufacturing process, making these handbags unique and produced in very limited edition.
